    Sunday School

    Sunday School is offered for PreK-8 at A Place of Grace on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM. The curriculum focuses on sound principles from the Word of God. Sunday School is in session beginning the first Sunday after Labor Day until the Sunday before Memorial weekend. There is no PreK-8 Sunday School during the summer.

    Sunday School Activities

    During the year, the Sunday School kids will present a Christmas program. John and Linda Bolton work with the kids to learn new songs during the Sunday School hour. The congregation is blessed with the group of kids singing in church accompanied by John and Linda on their guitars.

    6-8 Youth Group

    The 6-8 grade youth group meets during the school year on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00 PM at A Place of Grace. Each week volunteers share a light meal as the kids gather followed by Tom Cleveland leading the youth in a short lesson through scripture. Every 5th Wednesday of the month includes a fun activity with the youth group.

Young Christians’ Weekend

Since 1993, young people from various local churches or through Bulldog Builders (a local ecumenical Christian youth group) in Ogden, head to Branson, Missouri to participate in Young Christians’ Weekend (YCW). After a couple of seasons away, due to the pandemic, YCW has returned to Silver Dollar City in Branson. It is a weekend of worship, learning, and fun with approximately 10,000 other young people. This year, 2023, fifteen young people and 7 adults headed down to YCW. They will be energized through worship, live Christian concerts, and take part in workshops featuring messages that matter to today’s youth.

Grace Global Methodist Church proudly supports the Bulldog Builders youth ministry in Ogden, Iowa. It is an ecumenical youth group targeted towards Ogden junior and senior high students. Bulldog Builders encourages students to seek a relationship with Jesus Christ which will promote good Bible based life decisions.

During the school year, Bulldog Builders will meet as follows:

  • Every Wednesday morning, 6th-12th grade students are invited to a prayer breakfast at St. John’s Catholic Church. Doors open at 7:15 AM.

  • The 2nd Wednesday of every month, high school students will meet at St. John’s Catholic Church starting at 8:00 PM with fellowship, followed by a message at 8:30 PM.

  • Every 5th Wednesday, Bulldog Builders will include a fun activity that includes all students.
